During our iPods in the Classroom Session we will introduce you to three fictitious students who have special needs. We will talk about how iPods and the use of iTunes can help meet their needs. Don't have a classroom set of iPods, no problem we will show you how we can use iTunes to do the same things without an iPod.

Information and resources we will be sharing during the session:

You can download the podcasts at http://mdmc2007.com/media-list.php . You can view the conference wiki at http://mdmc2007conference.wikispaces.com/ .This year we will be offering a similar class at the San Jose Museum of Art August 11th- 14th for 1 graduate credit. Audacity is a free open source recording application You can download it at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/windows . (Note Mac Users would not need this because they have Garageband.)

Use ImTOO 3GP Converter to convert movie files to mp4 format needed for iPods (Free trial version to use if recordings are less than five minutes) http://www.imtoo.com/3gp-video-converter.html or Jodix http://jodix.com/

How to Share Playlists

You can share your playlists with others by publishing them to the iTunes Store. Published playlists are called "iMixes". iMixes include 30-second preview songs available in the iTunes Store. Songs that aren't available in the iTunes Store don't appear in the iMixes.
