Micheline, Thanks for the link. Yes, it looks great. I will be teaching Algebra this year and I haven't taught it for two years, so I am glad to have a resource to gather ideas. One of my project I do for linear equations is to have students use a power point to display their knowledge of applying linear equations to a real life problem. The students will write the equation, model the equation, develop a function table, graph the results, which should create a straight line if they did it correctly. I have presented this in past CUE Conferences and my presentation, including student work, is found at my wiki: http://techtipsbymichelle.wikispaces.com/Project+to+Pacing+Guide. I am hoping to present this again this year as it lines up with the theme and is a math topic. I hope to meet you at CUE 2009.

I am a former high school math teacher. Currently I am the program director for CTAP Region 4. Have you seen our Middle School Math website? http://www.ctap4.org/math/index.htm

The matrices and the resources are a compilation of technology resources to support teaching and learning of middle scholl mathematics.

This is a place to share ideas. Please feel free to add links to website, wiki's or blogs you have created, especially ones that deal with math.
