Hot Open Technologies Sessions at CUE '08!

Hello CUE Attendees! In just a few weeks, another exciting CUE conference will get underway.
I'm looking forward to another enlightening experience at the west
coast center of education technology innovation! I'm particularly excited about the strong showing in the Open Source Pavilion, of which I will be a part. This year, I'll be
hosting two sessions centered around open source, which I hope you will
attend.

Hi Jim,

With your Work in Ed Tech I thought you might be interested in a Public Class on Technology Integration given by Nellie Deutsch.

Hi Jim,
I just sent you a message about Elgg. I started a Ning for parents and teachers at my school recently. I'm now looking for a different tool to use with students. We have approximately 1200, in grades K-12. Do you think Elgg would be a good fit for me?

Take a look at Zinch.com, it's like a mashup between Monster.com and Facebook that focuses on connecting kids to college. They can socialize with college bound kids from all over, get "Love" from colleges interested in their portfolio (oops, home page) and I can track their progress through a master counselor's window.

We are using Zinch as our FREE online portfolio....and have Zinch days for kids to update their online presence.

Zinch is free, and no I don't work for them; got it from David Jakes (jakesonline.com)

=)
