Edubloggercon at CUE and An Edublogger Meetup at CLMS in March

Every year at the National Educational Computing Conference (NECC), a group of educational bloggers (or edubloggers) gathers for a full day "unconference" where the sessions and topics are decided by the participants. It's an exciting and high-energy social learning experience.

A west coast version of the edubloggercon takes place each year at the CUE conference in Palm Springs. Steve Hargadon, Jen Wagner, and I have begun talking about planning the event. Please add your name to the "I'm Atten… Continue

Thanks Mark. This link might work a little better - it goes right to the article page and bypasses the front page - http://www.innovateonline.info/?view=article&id=524&action=synopsis
If you have never logged in to Innovate Journal, you will have to create a login and password, but there is no charge.

I wanted to let you know that I just had my first peer-reviewed journal article come out in the online journal, Innovate. The article discusses research I conducted to develop my new theory of learning (SCCS), as well as a new instructional design model. It's been five years in the making, and feels a lot like giving birth to have the article come out! CUE has played a significant role, socially as well as cognitively, in helping me develop this theory for 21st century learners. I would love to get your feedback on the article - there is a place online to add comments. You can log in at http://innovateonline.info/?view=issue. The journal is also hosting a webcast for people to dialog about the article on April 22 at 9 pm Pacific Time, if you have an opportunity to drop in and join us. Thanks for all of the hard work you do for educators and students in California.

I heard about the SearchLearnShare project at one of Steve Hargadon's panel sessions. What a great tool. I like the way it is laid out visually and will pass the link to colleagues. Thank you!

Thanks for the tips regarding a Master's degree. I wish I could have made it to EduBloggerCon. Hopefully travel plans will work out next year so I may attend. Have fun at the meetup tomorrow. You all should make the trip to the Gaslamp and check out The Field; especially with St. Patrick's Day coming up. Horton Plaza is great too. Take care!

Hey Mark, I really enjoyed your presentation today. It was a great way to end the conference. It's nice to see how you pull all the technology pieces together in a neat package. Thanks for the ideas.

Hi Mark,

With your work in Education Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.

It's hard to picture the road from my initial pre-Mac World conversation with you to the present. Never have I come across such a perfect fit of resources for my own work with kids. Thanks again!
