With your work in Education Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
Karen, I'd love to link up with you at CUE. I am here for the full conference. I am working the CUE booth during session 1 so can't see your talk. I am wide open on Saturday. How about linking then? my cell is 714-412-4977. This is probably the best way to connect. I have your work one as 949-548-7853. Is this a cell number?
Hi, Steve.Hope all is well with you. I just saw the discussion of budget cuts below... I can't believe how many districts we work with are cutting positions. It's unbelievable.
On a related note, I'm doing a lot with the Open Content movement now. It's like open source software but for content (textbooks, audio, video, etc.) -- all free and shareable. It's pretty cool stuff. I'll be presenting on this Fri. morning if you're at CUE, or if not, see www.k12opened.com/about for more info.
Thanks, Steve. The picture's been entirely "Photo-shopped," I'm sure. It was done for work and ... well, you get the picture. :) Thanks for the message from Skip. He is one of my all-time favorite people because of his character and the great work he accomplished at our school. He's simply the best. It's great to hear from you and I'm sorry I'll miss you at CUE. Have a great time!!
