Jane--by the way, announcing this was a brilliant use of the social network. Don't know how many will sign up before the show and how many will discover it there, but this is a great example of how participatory media can enhance what takes place at a conference. Kudos to you!

Jane--Great idea! Where can we meet, and when???? BTW, I want to congratulate you on a terrific book. I love your new PBL book, and talk about it often.

Hi Sarah! I feel like putting up a 30Boxes calendar, but maybe that's over thinking it. I just looked at the CUE calendar and meeting during a social event makes sense (we'll be there anyway, others can enjoy). I suggest we find each other (just flash the green machine) at one of these:
Thursday evening CUE's 30th Birthday Bash, Palm Springs Convention Center Lobby, 5:30 - 7:00 pm, do it there or take off from this event to another spot.
Friday afternoon during/in lieu of CUE Ball, Pool Deck @ Wyndham 4:30-6:30 - This sounds like a social hour... Mojitos and Sugar...mmm.
Friday night prior to/during/after Game Night (starts at 9:00) I've never attended Game Night, if it's loose we can have games of our own playing with our XOs together.
Also, I'm bringing them to edubloggercon Wed but won't get there until noon.
Other ideas anyone?

Ok! One or more of those should work. And I plan to be at the Game Night for sure....

I will bring my xo - I have yet to meet someone else who has one. Looking forward to networking with others.

Dear Randy, I'm hoping you and others have had more luck with finding your way around the interface. I'll do some more work this weekend, but guess I'm not young enough for it to be easy....

Oh believe me - I have had my moments : ) - I have a feeling that each of us will have some insight into how to use the xo and together can collectively increase our knowledge base.

Looking forward to it!

I haven't received my XO yet. Once it is here... is it possible to network with the XO across the web, or do you have to be in close personal proximity? I am interested in finding ways for my kids to network with it even though I was only able to purchase one.
Thanks!
Susan

You can always use any internet-based collaboration tools like on any computer, but the a lot of the XOs magic is in what the thin-mesh client lets you do with those in close proximity: collaborate ! (Check out the acoustic tape measuring tool (looks like a dolphin) it's very interesting and only possible with two XOs.
See if you can find other XO owners nearby using this Frappr Map and check out the XO Wiki for user groups forming in your area.
Best of luck, and have fun!
